"La Ville-Lumière"... The City of Light

I'm pregnant, and a bit crazy... and somehow I managed to convince Jeff to take his 7 month pregnant wife to Paris....  as in France!!

Sunday night (about a month ago) we were trying to decide on a a place to go for a short trip.  The next day we found ourselves on a plane headed for Paris!  20 hours on a plane, 23 hours in France.  Totally spontaneous.  Totally worth it.  We gotta' enjoy our final days of total freedom and spontaneity, right? :)

1st Stop:  Notre Dame!

Beautiful stain glass windows

Inside Notre Dame

2nd Stop:  The Louvre!

We didn't have time to go inside, so we just walked around and enjoyed the amazing architecture

3rd Stop:  Arc de Triumphe

We wanted to go up to the top, however 200+ stairs does not agree with my pregnant body :)

4th and Final Stop:  The Eiffel Tower!!

We ended up having to wait in line forever to get our tickets and get up the tower, so by time we finally made it to the top we'd pretty much lost all our sunlight...

It was also a pretty hazy day, so we didn't have the best view, but once night came and the city was all lit up, it was breathtaking!

The Eiffel Tower was even more impressive and beautiful all lit up and glowing at night!

And apparently it "sparkles" for the first 5 minutes of every hour.  Luckily we caught it right in time!

Even though we only had a short time in Paris, I am so grateful we had the opportunity to go.  My first trip to Europe and I already can't wait to go back!
